Unique Couture Tuition
Having taught in further education for several years, I was aware not only of the gradual withdrawal of funding and courses but of the lack of specific, independent dressmaking and pattern cutting teaching not just locally but nationwide. In response to this I set up Unique Couture Tuition which is registered with Learn Direct as a Learning Provider.
Dressmaking and pattern cutting workshops, held in the village of Skidby near Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, famous for its windmill, are highly practical with the number of participants usually limited to 7 to ensure you, and I, get the most from them. Whatever ability level you are at, whether a complete beginner who has never sewn before or you have skills you would like to explore further I can help you.
The venue is easy to get to and has parking and disabled access facilities.

I am also able to offer one-to-one tuition at my studio in Skidby or at a venue of your choice if you live locally and this has proved to be popular. The session is tailored to meet your exact requirements, this could perhaps be to get the most from your sewing machine or overlocker, pattern cutting and garment block drafting, fitting or help with a specific project or technique.
Gift Vouchers are available for half and full day tuition sessions.
